The Reliv conference ended today, and my friends and I decided that we were going to go to downtown Atlanta and do some interesting stuff. Options included the tour of Coca Cola headquarters, eating at Varsity, the aquarium, etc. As we soon discovered, however, pretty much everything closed before we got there. We did make it to Varsity, which is where we stopped, turned around, and came back.
Sounds like a fun little trip, eh?
Unfortunately, our sense of direction may have been a tad askew.
We walked around our hotel for a few minutes, looking for the correct bus stop. Mind you, when we left the hotel it was 40 degrees, and it was 3 in the afternoon. We found it after circling the mall. Got on the bus, and took the MARTA train station from Arts Center to Five Points. Those of you who know the layout of Atlanta might be laughing already. For those who aren't (like my group), I'll continue.
From there, we walked the wrong direction toward what we thought was Coca Cola headquarters. After passing Georgia State University, we asked for directions. Those directions were to travel the opposite direction that what we'd been doing. So we did. We got there eventually, and it was closed by that time. As was the aquarium. So we got directions to Varsity. Just a few blocks one way and a few blocks another. The guy even told us "it's not within walking distance." But we'd been walking so much already. Why the heck not? So another half mile or so later, we get to Varsity and finally get to sit down and rest.
At this point, we all eat, we each get some kind of Coke product, and relax for a little bit. Before we left, we each took a 24k shot to get us through the next leg of our journey. I have to say, in all honesty, that that one little 2oz. bottle of 24k gave me so much more energy than my large Coca Cola Classic. It may be that I'm immune to caffeine, so the fact that 24k doesn't contain any caffeine means the other ingredients worked with my system to give me energy naturally. Love that stuff.
So we walk across the street to the MARTA station. When I say across the street, I mean it. It was right there. It was the North Way station. Well, let's check the map to see which direction to travel.
For those of you not familiar with the MARTA, let me paint for you the picture that we saw. We had traveled south from Arts Center five stops to Five Points. The North Way station is TWO stops south from Arts Center. We had walked 3 subway stations north of where we started. And, quite honestly, I wasn't as worn out or tired as I would have been last year at this time. I am convinced that taking Reliv is the only reason I was willing to walk any distance in the first place, let alone do it successfully without feeling crummy the whole time.
I'm actually planning on making walking more a part of my daily life from here on out. It'll be good for me and my puppy, and it'll be NOTHING like this experience, let me tell you.

Atlanta!
Yesterday, I flew into Atlanta, Georgia for the National Reliv Conference. I am so excited to be on my first real "Business Trip" and I've been bragging any time anyone's asked me. "I'm going out of town on business!"
When you start in Reliv, and you continue to work through the meetings and such, you always hear people tell you that their business was jump-started at Conference, and you'll never really know what they mean until you go yourself. I know that I'm certainly going to keep coming back to these!
First of all, it didn't help that this one started off with the launch of a new product, 24K - this is Reliv's response to the rapid growth in the energy shot industry. Dr. Carl Hastings has developed a product that gives an instant energy boost, helps with mental focus, and reduces stress WITHOUT ANY CAFFEINE. That means there are no side effects, no jitters, no crash, no rapid heartbeat, nothing going wrong with your overall health just because you can't stay awake and focused right now.
And it works.
Earlier today, I was sitting in the conference listening to something I was very interested in, yet I was still recovering from a 40-hour day with no sleep, so I started nodding off. I had a 24k in my pocket for just such an occasion. I took it out, drank it, and was fine for the rest of the day. No nodding, no wandering, just healthy focus and energy. I am so thrilled for this to exist.
It's also the first Reliv product that's ready to drink right out of the box. I'm keeping it by my bed so I can just roll out of bed and drink it so I'm ready for the day. I've started implementing this, and it gives me all the energy I need to get me out of bed and into a productive day. The conference itself is just phenomenal. So many people to talk to, so much great advice. I sat at a table of 20 people, mostly strangers, and I talked with them like I've known them all my life. I randomly introduced myself and talked with two other Reliv distributors who happened to sit by us as well. I'm meeting so many fantastic people and I'm really excited about the next year of Reliv.
I turn 24 on Wednesday. And 24k is going to re-energize my business. And I have a plan in action that may very well take me all the way to Presidential Ambassador by December (I'll include more information on that in a later post.) Basically, I'm looking at making almost $10,000 per month by the end of the year. It is possible, and I'm going to do it.
If you'd like to be involved, I can get you to the same place I'm going. I may have a few months' head start on you, depending on when you decide to join me, but I can map out a path that's easy to follow. All you have to do is commit yourself to working hard. Nothing comes from nothing. And you know what? some parts are going to be difficult and discouraging. I've been keeping this blog off and on since I started and I think I've done a disservice by posting during the down times more than the great times. But being poor is hard. Building a business is hard. Maintaining a business is hard. Choose your "hard".
I have one more day of conference and I'm coming back home on Sunday. Three days later I'll be 24 and it'll be the end of my first full year in Reliv. And once my plane lands, my business will just start taking off!
